Defence begins kangaroo culling at all facilities in Queensland and New South Wales at the start of May
A group of kangaroos have attacked an officer at a remote area of Queensland, where dozens of animals are being shot during a cull to help control the marsupial invasion.
The officer, who was on patrol in the area, was bitten in the leg, taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The man said his dog, a white terrier named Jack, and a black a우리카지노nd white golden retriever were among the kangaroos seen attacking him, who is thought to be between 30 and 60 years old.
The attack, and the fact that the kangaroo population has doubled since the start of 2015, has prompted the Victorian government to seek a national b카지노 사이트an on culling the animgospelhitzals in state facilities.
The move has sparked anger among the people of the surrounding areas who argue it is dangerous to the animals and creates unnecessary conflict.
The state government has been forced to adopt a plan that bans kangaroos within 40km of the Australian mainland, and requires animals on federal lands to be put down by either fire, trap and shoot, or by shooting or capture.
It is the latest in a series of controversial measures in the wake of the mass mass killing of over 80 birds by Western Australian predator Rottweilers in 2014.
