Integration into the community
* A rural environment – The Children’s Home in Kfar Yehezkel offers a unique solution for the Valley region and the north of Israel. The school is located in a rural environment offering the youngster a wide range of possibilities to blend into the rural life while getting support from the community resources.
* Social integration – As part of our approach the youngsters are dispersed among 20 different schools in the area. The children participate in extra-curricular social activities after regular school hours.
* Host families in the community – The children are guests at families in the community one evening a week on a regular basis, in order to expose them regularly to a model of proper family interaction.
* Personal tutoring – Employees of Arad Dalia, a firm that has adopted the school, tutor our students with an emphasis on their emotional needs. Family connection – The program “Family Connection”set up to strengthen the parent-child relationship includes: Field trips, family entertainment and parental groups, with emphasis on exposing the parents to the processes the children undergo in our home and their school.
Special-care programs – Each child, at the time of joining the school, has a personal program constructed according to their needs, including sessions with a psychologist, professional psychiatric guidance, group therapy, art therapy, and animal therapy.
